I came across a bunch of advertisements that attempt to stand out from the 'clutter' and it shows how advertising has slowly been injected into our daily lives, ensuring no one misses it- every person matters.
Amazing! I really love these ads because as your post's title implies they certainly stand out and they seem almost like public art. I'm not sure how to feel, as it would be nice to see this kind of creativity without the purpose always being to sell a product, but at the same time we are confronted with ads all the time so they might as well be artistic right? Overall I'd rather see something unique even if there is something unsettling about blurring the distinctions between art and advertising.
Looking at these pictures and the video we watched in class, it really seems like advertisements are taking over the world. We already see it happening. Ads are found on the roads, in YouTube videos, on cars, in stadiums, on building, in escalators, in elevators..... Which is quite interesting if you start thinking what will happen in 10 years time? It only seems natural that ad agencies will keep thinking of newer and more unique ideas to advertise people to buy the product and also to compete with other companies. So will the increase of advertisement go on forever? and how will our world look if it does? I can only imagine that everything from toilets to the floor will be filled with ads. And our world inside and outside will be painted with different ads
