Here's the film I was talking about, it was shown on HBO last year and it has some really frightening examples of how media can shape public opinion on an issue.
I guess this ties into what we learned in TOK about perception. Like with 'The Truman Show', we accept the world we're presented with unless we see something that changes what we thought was right from what we saw at a glance. And media controls a large amount of what's presented to us to percieve.
