Practical Metaphors

1. Life is a game.
2. You try to get the highest score in grades.  People push you to be the best in you class.  You compete with others.  You can win or lose when trying to get something from someone.  You call people losers.  You win someone’s favor or love, at times ‘competing’ with others.  Lady Gaga’s song Love Game.
3. It describes how we’re always competing against others, time, or death itself.  Thus, humans are always competing with each other, and at times trying to knock others down to make themselves look better or are willing to betray friends and go behind others backs to try and ‘get ahead’.
4. Life being a journey takes a view of you coexisting with others, and having to deal with them, but doesn’t add the element on inherent competition.  Thus, you wouldn’t have to try to put others down, as the goal is to complete your task, not complete it first or ‘best’.
