3) explain the way this particular metaphor structures our perceptions understanding. A different way that you could reflect this metaphor is by looking at life as a roller-coaster, because as you go on the ride, it is quick and it has its ups, turns and downs too the same way that life does. Also, you could look at a roller coaster ride as an experience. It has a starting point and also and ending point the way that life does-- birth and death. Also, the way you look at life is 'along the way' as in a long road ahead of you, with a lot more experiences to live. Also, life has its twists and turns, where things can change quickly, and your life can be turned around.
4) Imagine a different way of conceptualizing this topic- or identify the similarities and differences in another language. How would that change our understanding/perception?
The way the english language and the arabic language perceive the idea of life is very similar. Both, look at life as a journey and a long path, with a starting point and an ending point as well, this is because people perceive and understand life in the same way, with the same perception, which may be a reason why people that have different languages look at life the same way; its ups (being good) and downs (being bad), similarly to heaven and hell.
